APP Rating ♥♥♥♥♥ (5/5)
Dinosaur Train A to Z – Cost $ 1.99 (as of 04/23/14)
My little guy just turned 2 at the end of January and he LOVES this app. I like the new upgrade that added a section where he can spell “words”. The image posted above is the screen shot of the app title spelled out on the “alphabet” page. On the train page he can pick a letter and then the letter chosen displays a dinosaur and explains a little about it. it is very interactive. It has an x-ray option where he can see the dino skeleton. He enjoys feeding the skeleton because he can see the dino chew and swallow. We have had this app since it was first released and it has helped him learn his alphabet. He has known his letters since he was about 20 months old. (1 & 2/3 years old).
Sometimes he likes to just hear the letters and he will play on the alphabet page scrolling through the letters choosing them randomly.
** Due to a sick toddler and a sick daddy and now I am coming down with the plague that hit our house my Monday Movie Review has been delayed until today, Wednesday. My Breastfeeding post will soon follow. **
Oscar shorts Animations MCs are an ostrich and a giraffe in a Bow tie. Lol. very cute and entertaining. Thank you Cinema Salem for letting me screen this film ♥
Movie Rating ♥♥♥♥ (4/5) Movie Trailer Posted below.
Get A Horse. A Mickey and Minnie Classic film mixed with present day animation. Super fun!! Mix of Classic Mickey music and some current beats mixed in.
Mr Hublot a French animation. Very realistic looking. A well done futuristic Steampunk short. No words yet the scenes capture the life of a OCD robot in first person and his relationship with a stray dog. My Little Guy loved the robot dog and woofed at the screen.
Feral. Silent film about wolves and a child in the woods. This short has a range of emotions from happy to sad and a little heartbreaking.
Possessions Classic Japanese animation with English subtitles. I would like to see a full length film by this creator. My little guy stood still and watched the movie. Each realm is stranger than the one before. Teaches if you show respect for others things good things will befall on you.
Room on the Broom animation from the UK. Has a claymation feel to it. Very fun and upbeat short with a flair for the dramatic. It shows the value of teamwork.
The missing Scarf animation from Ireland narrated by George Takei. Cute, like an animated storybook. A good message about try and try again, practice makes perfect. And a pleasant message about not being hindered by fears. Also includes a short lesson of the ways of the universe.
Blue Umbrella One of my favorite shorts by Pixar about rain and umbrella love. very adorable!! I could watch this on repeat.
** NEXT WEEK – The Lego Movie **
We went to Bonkers Funhouse in Peabody, Ma today. It was so much fun for all of us. The best part is the toddler area is all gates off and they get in FREE. The only thing that we had to pay for was the ride on the merry-go-round and the ferris wheel. He had the most fun running around the place. The food was ok, we had the burger which was su burnt it was crispy(and gross). The hot dog was pretty good, super thin but grilled nicely. We look forward to going back again, maybe the Pizza is better. LOL

Robert’s 1st Masterpiece
I got Robert the My First Crayola Mess Free Marker & Paper. It is a cute little cow marker that he can put in his palm of his hand. He was able to manipulate it across the page with ease. I was a little disappointed with the lack of durability of the product. He is 16 months old and at the smashing stage and even after working with him to be gentile he liked the spots the marker made when smashed. When he smashed it the tip went up into the cow and now only a small tip remains. The fact that the marker will only mark on special paper is wonderful. Our biggest issue when we go out to eat is that Robert likes to try to color on the table with crayons. The Mess Free Marker and Paper fits in his diaper bag and helps distract him while we wait. he has fun and we don’t have to try to remove crayon marks before leaving. Because the tip is smashed in so easily I give the value only 3 stars as it will need to be replaced sooner than it dying a slow marker death.
Crayola offers free Coloring Pages that can be printed on a home printer.

Price: $$ – low-cost, lots of fun!!
I took Robert to Chuck E Cheese yesterday. WOW What great fun!! It is free to get in and they stamped both my hand and one for him. His hand was a little small so they used a special sticker for his stamp with a number. Then when we left they used a black light pen to check both my hand and his sticker to make sure we match. I was very happy with the extra security they have in place and think more child play areas need to have this system in place. The safety measures are one of the aspects that will make this a frequent play area for us. They have a whole section for younger kids which was nice. I like how there are free things for them to play and climb on. Each ride/game is only 1 token which breaks down to 1 quarter. the machines will give you coins for as little as 4 for $1. unlike many places which will only convert $5. and higher.
Robert had a blast on several of the kiddie rides. He even loved the stage where Chuck E Cheese and his friends entertain.
Enjoying Chuck E Cheese
Rating: Apple TV – ❤❤❤❤❤
WOW the Apple TV has to be the absolute best Christmas present Daddy got the family. When we were in the Apple store in the Northshore Mall, Peabody Ma we were asking about getting an HDMI adapter for the iPad and the person working suggested the Apple TV saying it would stream the movies from the iPad to the TV. They didn’t tell us how truly AMAZING it was which leads me to believe they never saw it in a working state. All I can say is WOW I am in ❤ LOVE ❤ with Apple TV.
We don’t have to stream Netflix, Hulu or YouTube to the Apple TV it is already there as pre-loaded programs. This means we don’t have to bog down one of our machines to watch movies as we did before. There is also access to the MLB and NBA channels (NHL channel too but since their isn’t any hockey going on right now that is a pointless app) but of course you have to pay for full access to the channels but they are so cheap. There are tabs for Movie Trailers, Photo Stream, Vimeo, Podcasts, Radio, Flicker and WSJ Live. Not to mention there is a computer tab where you can connect to any computer with iTunes. Apple also has included connection to Movies, TV Shows and Music that stream through their systems.
It was so easy to install and get up and running that we didn’t even need to use the instruction manual.
